The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 6 suspects due to a brawl south of Baghdad. The Ministry said in a statement that "as part of the ongoing security efforts of the Federal Police forces to eliminate armed manifestations and impose the rule of law, a force from the Third Mechanized Brigade of the Mechanized Division in the Federal Police was able to arrest 6 suspects involved in a "family" brawl in (Al-Doura) area south of Baghdad." It added that "the brawl resulted in the injury of a citizen near the scene of the incident, where the place was cordoned off and the suspects were arrested with (a Kalashnikov rifle in their possession), indicating that "the suspects and the seized items were duly referred to the competent authorities."
