“Similar to Gaza” .. Katz calls for a temporary evacuation of the West Bank residents in conjunction with a large-scale military operation

The Israeli Foreign Minister called, today, Wednesday, for a temporary evacuation of the West Bank in conjunction with a large-scale military operation launched by the Israeli forces, accusing Iran of arming the Palestinian factions. The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation quoted Foreign Minister Israel Katz as saying that "Iran is working to form an additional front in the West Bank similar to that front in Gaza and southern Lebanon by financing and arming the Palestinian factions and smuggling advanced weapons." Katz added: "We must deal with the threats in the West Bank as we deal with Gaza, including the temporary evacuation of the population." This comes as 11 Palestinians were killed today during Israeli army operations in Jenin and Tubas, while the newspaper "Israel Hayom" said that difficult and heavy armed clashes broke out in camps in the northern West Bank with the arrival of Israeli forces.
