Signing document to reduce dowries, facilitate marriage in Bayda

A document was signed on Monday in Al-Bayda province to reduce dowries and facilitate marriage with the consensus of the tribes and regions of the governorate, in the presence of the Governor of the Governorate, Abdullah Idris. The marriage facilitation document, which was signed during an expanded meeting, is the first in the governorate, in response to the call of the leader of the revolution, Sayyid. The meeting reviewed the mechanism for implementing the document, which aims to facilitate marriage and reduce the exaggeration of dowries and extravagance in weddings in a way that enhances solidarity and the social fabric, an amount of two million riyals was determined as a maximum comprehensive and complete dowry and no one is required after it or before any increase. In the meeting, the Grand Mufti of Al-Bayda Governorate, the scholar Hussein Al-Hadar, stressed the importance of facilitating marriage to form a cohesive and fraternal society as the Messenger of Allah instructed us. The document will help young people complete half of their debt, he said, especially in light of the high cost of dowries, which in some areas of the province have reached limits of extravagance and exorbitant payments. The Governor of Al-Bayda Idris praised the cooperation of the sheikhs of the province to bring the document to light in response to the call of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid. Abdul Malik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, to reduce the cost of dowries, noting the measures contained in the document to facilitate marriage, especially in light of the difficult circumstances the country is going through due to the continued aggression and siege and its negative repercussions on social conditions. He stressed the need to implement the document on reality, adhere to its provisions, and mitigate the negative phenomena that accompany weddings. He called on the leadership of local and executive councils in the governorate's directorates and the concerned authorities to follow up o n the application of the document and not to accept any marriage contract that violates its provisions.
