A meeting at the Shura Council on Tuesday headed by the Council Chairman, Mohammed Hussein Al-Aidaroos, discussed a number of topics related to the challenges , difficulties facing government , private education and the means to advance it. The meeting, attended by the Vice-Chairman of the Council, Mohammed Hassan Al-Durra, the Chairman of the Education and Scientific Research Committee in the Council, Abdo Qabati, the Vice-Chairman of the Committee, Abdul Wahid Al-Sharafi, the Committee Rapporteur, Jabry Ibrahim Hassan, the Committee members, the Deputy Minister of Education, Khaled Jahader, the Undersecretary of Education Sector Ministry , Abdullah Al-Numai, and the Undersecretary of the Projects Sector, Sadiq Al-Rasha, reviewed the efforts of Education Ministry regarding the issues of teachers and school books, rehabilitating educational facilities and achieving partnership with private education. During the meeting, the Chairman of the Shura Council praised the efforts made by Education Ministry to achi eve the continuity of education under the circumstances imposed by the aggression and siege. He pointed out the importance of working to review the school map in a way that is consistent with the data on the ground and meets the interim needs. He pointed out the need to activate community initiatives that support the educational process, and move towards establishing a higher academy for teachers, and intensifying training and qualification courses for teachers in line with the curricula. Al-Aidaroos urged the Education Committee of the Council to coordinate with specialists in Education Ministry in order to prepare a comprehensive report on the difficulties , obstacles facing public , private education , to include proposals and treatments accompanied by appropriate recommendations.
