Sheikh Al-Khazali discusses with Pavel Talabani the general situation in the country

Baghdad: The Secretary-General of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq Movement, Sheikh Qais Khazali, received in his office in Baghdad today, Tuesday, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Pavel Talabani. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed, according to a statement by Al-Khazali's office, the general political situation in the country and the challenges facing the political process. Al-Khazali stressed the need to enhance political stability and work to overcome obstacles that hinder the path to achieving progress and growth. The two sides discussed the importance of the withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraqi territory; to achieve full sovereignty and mutual respect between countries and resolve the issue of salaries of employees of the Kurdistan Region, as they are Iraqi citizens, and the constitution guarantees them that. At the end of the meeting, the importance of continuing dialogue and cooperation between all parties was emphasized, to achieve common goals and strengthen national unity.
