Head of the General Authority for Rural Water Projects Adel Bader and Ibb province undersecretary Rakan al-Naqeeb on Monday conducted an inspection of the sewage treatment plant in al-Saddah district, assessing its current state and the requirements for its re-operation. During their visit, Bader and al-Naqeeb, accompanied by key officials in the province and UNICEF specialist Anis al-Arshi, reviewed the plant's condition and discussed necessary needs for the plant. They highlighted the need for rehabilitating the treatment basins to prevent overflow, blockages, and pollution, and for constructing a retaining wall to guard against floods. Bader emphasized the urgency of preparing a project study to address these issues and reaffirmed the commitment to advancing water and sanitation projects as a priority. ?Al-Saddah district director Mohammed al-Darwani stressed that upgrading the station will alleviate health and environmental problems linked to untreated sewage.
