Several men were put in custody for "festive firing" during parliamentary election rallies, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said. The PSD said in a statement that the police are working "around the clock" to enforce the law without discrimination in dealing with threatening practices to security, warning arrest for people who use firearms during rallies. Vehicles that obstructed traffic and threatened road safety were impounded, and police officers gave tickets to drivers whose car license plates were tampered with and had their cars impounded, according to the statement.
