Seminar discusses maritime strategies conflict

The Center for Military Strategic Studies organized, on Saturday, in Sana'a, a scientific symposium entitled "The Conflict of Maritime Strategies of the Influential Countries in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab - Effects and Repercussions". In the seminar, which was held under the slogan (Towards a strategic understanding of the motives and movements of the countries of influence in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden and confronting them), the Governor of Hadramawt, Major General Luqman Baras, gave a speech in which he referred to the foreign ambitions and conspiracies facing Yemen and the region, especially the American and British. During the seminar, which was attended by a number of researchers and specialists, four scientific working papers were presented on the first working paper of Rear Admiral Rafiq Nasser Al-Jund, "the historical background and strategic importance of the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab in light of the conflict" and touched on three axes: the history of the Red Sea, its import ance, and the current situation in the Red Sea region and Bab al-Mandab. The second working paper was presented by Major General Mohammed Farhan - Director of the Higher War College, entitled (The various conflicts for control of the Red Sea, regional and international strategy) and dealt with five axes: Arab regional conflicts in the Red Sea, international conflicts and ambitions, the strategy of international powers in the Red Sea, conflicts between the great powers to control the Red Sea, the strategy of international powers in the Red Sea after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the international strategy in the Red Sea in light of the aggression on Yemen. The third working paper was presented by the researcher, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Shuaibi, entitled (A reading of the adventures of the First World War and the role of Yemen in its events in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab). The fourth working paper was presented by the researcher, Rear Admiral Abdullah Hashem Al-Tayeb, entitled (The International and R egional Conflict in the Red Sea and the Battle of the Al-Aqsa Flood: Its Repercussions, Effects and Dimensions), and dealt with five axes: repercussions, influences, strategic dimensions, military dimensions, maritime dimensions and repercussions of the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, and the setbacks of the conflict and the battle for the Republic of Yemen. The symposium came out with a final statement and important recommendations, the most important of which is Yemen's adoption of an effective and integrated maritime strategy that keeps pace with regional and international transformations, building a Yemeni naval force that can protect Yemeni coasts and waters, establishing research divisions affiliated with the Center for Military Strategic Studies in military forces and regions, and the need to work to contain the international conflict at sea and reduce the international presence in it. Convincing neighboring countries, especially Eritrea, of the danger of the Israeli presence in the Red Sea, and emphasizing the importance of the Red Sea and dealing with everything related to it based on this importance.
