Seizing the vegetable market and ‘garage’ parking lot in the Old City of Hebron

Hebron - Ma'an - The Israeli occupation authorities officially announced their intention to seize the old central vegetable market complex, "Al-Hisbah", which includes "Al-Ataq Market" located in the heart of the Old City. The municipality confirmed its rejection and denunciation of this announcement, which includes a threat to the municipality by stripping it of its powers in the various sites seized by the occupation forces, as part of its policy aimed at expanding settlement at the expense of our Palestinian lands and property. The municipality stressed the continuation of its legal battle and the follow-up of all files and case s until our rights to these properties are established and not touched, noting that it is determined to form international pressure on the occupation through the consuls and embassies of the countries sponsoring the peace agreements and treaties, calling on the international community to intervene immediately to stop these violations and attacks on the properties of the municipality and citizens.
