The security services entered a state of maximum alert to secure religious shrines in Diyala Governorate. A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that security cordons were deployed around 16 religious shrines in Baqubah and the rest of the other regions in order to protect thousands of visitors to religious shrines during the days of Eid al-Fitr.
