In a joint meeting on Wednesday, the Administrative Body of the Local Council in Sana'a province, along with the Board of Directors of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund, convened to discuss strategies for overcoming potential challenges in the Fund's future operations. Sana'a governor Abdulbasit al-Hadi focused on exploring visions and proposals to enhance the effectiveness of the Cleaning Fund. Key topics included the assignment of 11 improvement projects to the Executive Unit, supported by the Ministry of Finance, with a budget allocation of 135 million and 53 thousand riyals. The meeting also approved the development of a new improvement project in the Arhab district, in partnership with the Agriculture Office, and assigned the Public Works Office to manage lighting costs for three existing projects, totaling 12 million and 278 thousand Y.R. Additionally, the acquisition of a Bobcat "650" boom for $26,500 was approved, in line with the Board of Directors' priorities. Governor al-Hadi emphasized the im portance of boosting public confidence in the cleaning sector by improving performance levels and ensuring consistent waste removal and improvement efforts. He highlighted the governorate's commitment to supporting the Fund's activities and acknowledged the management's efforts across the governorate's center, directorates, and secondary cities. The governor called for intensified efforts to sustain and expand cleaning and improvement operations, particularly in new areas within the governorate, to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment for all residents.
