The decision banning the importation of frozen chicken is still valid, Sana'a ministry of agriculture said on Sunday, to encourage and protect local products and to reach self-sufficiency. The ministry's agricultural production and services sector called on all the firms and traders importing frozen chicken to obtain permits prior to importing any shipment of this commodity. In a statement seen by Saba, the ministry called on all the relevant bodies to cooperate in applying the valid law organizing and protecting the livestock so as to guard the public health and serve the national economy.
