Seoul, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis agreed Tuesday to enhance cooperation in the defense and nuclear energy fields as part of efforts to strengthen strategic partnership between the two countries. According to Yonhap News Agency, the two sides affirmed their commitment to continuing bilateral dialogue and consultations on defense-related issues through the Joint Committee for the Defense Industry and Logistics Committee, to exchange information and increase bilateral cooperation in the defense industry field, through joint production of military equipment and defense technology cooperation. The two countries also agreed to cooperate in the fields of military education and training, military medicine, sports and cultural exchanges, and the exchange of information and experience. The two sides discussed cooperation in the nuclear energy sector, while reaffirming their commitment to transition away from fossil fuels. Source: Qatar News Agency
