A Russian Tu-22M3 strategic bomber crashed in the Irkutsk region in Russia's Siberia due to a technical malfunction, killing one person out of a crew of four, the Russian Defense Ministry said. Regional Governor Igor Kobzev said on the Telegram messaging app that the crew managed to eject, but one of them died and the others have been hospitalized with injuries. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, three military aircraft of different models have crashed between April and July, 2024. Source : Qatar News Agency
