The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the elimination of 2010 Ukrainian soldiers in various areas within the scope of the special military operation, during the past 24 hours. The ministry stated, in a statement, that "during the past 24 hours, units of the Russian "South" group improved the situation along the front line, and units of the Russian "Center" group forces repelled a Ukrainian counterattack, which resulted in the elimination of 2010 soldiers." It added that "a fighter and 3 helicopters were also shot down and 4 ammunition depots were destroyed." Regarding the situation in Kursk, the ministry indicated that "the total Ukrainian losses amounted to 3160 soldiers, 44 tanks, 43 armored personnel carriers, 24 infantry fighting vehicles, 244 armored combat vehicles and 111 cars".
