Colonists Plow Palestinian Land Near Hebron for Annexation

Hebron: Colonists plowed Palestinian-owned land in the town of Idhna, west of Hebron, on Sunday, in preparation for seizing it and annexing it to a recently established colonial outpost. Idhna Mayor Jaber Tmaizi reported that colonists, accompanied by tractors, plowed Palestinian-owned land in the al-Jalatiyya area, east of the town.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the land belongs to the Tmaizi and Sawaifeh families, among others. The colonists intend to cultivate it and annex it to lands seized in recent months, with the goal of expanding the new colonial outpost.

Tmaizi highlighted that colonists residing in the outpost, under the protection of the occupation forces, are engaging in activities that include terrorizing, harassing, assaulting, and arresting Palestinians to depopulate the area. This is part of a broader plan to seize more of the town's land, which has already been affected by the separation wall and colonial outposts legalized by the Israeli government.

In response to these actions, Tmaizi called on farmers and landowners to gather tomorrow morning in the area to oppose the occupation's policy of forcibly seizing these lands. He emphasized that the municipality will pursue legal avenues to stop this policy aimed at displacing citizens and seizing their lands by force.
