The Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) called on Monday for an emergency meeting with its member states and digital economy experts to discuss the global technical glitch. In a statement, DCO said the issue caused a deep negative effect on aviation, banks and several institutions, and called the international community to develop its policies and protocols, as well as implement digital cooperation to avoid future complications. Microsoft announced last Friday that a global outage had occurred to its systems, which led to major technical glitches in several international airports. DCO is a global organization founded in November 2020 that aims to achieving social prosperity and the growth of the digital economy by unifying members' efforts to advance digital transformation. It brings together 15 countries, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Djibouti, Gambia, Ghana, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Rwanda, and Saudi Arabia. Source: Kuwait News Agency
