BEIRUT: The Lebanese National News Agency has reported a tragic increase in casualties due to the ongoing Israeli assaults over the last few days on the central Beqaa Valley and the Baalbek-Hermel region, eastern Lebanon, with the death toll now reaching 282 and 777 injured. The agency noted that in recent days, Israeli forces have intensified their attacks on civilian homes, deliberately committing atrocities against innocent residents. This has been evident in the city of Baalbek and numerous villages within the district, where buildings near major roads have been targeted for destruction, aiming to disrupt access and mobility. Additionally, a series of Israeli airstrikes hit the southern district of Beirut, specifically in the areas of Bourj al-Barajneh and Mrayjeh. Meantime, Israeli warplanes and artillery struck various towns in the south of the country, including Yaron, Kafr Hamam, Bint Jbeil, Zahrani, Qana, Teir Debba, Siddiqin, and Al-Shahabiyyah, and Barashit, and Kfar Donin. Attacks also targete d the villages of Al-Taybeh, Kfar Kila, Al-Wazzani, Khiam, Deir Mimas, Al-Jumaijmeh, Majdal Selm, and Ayta Al-Shaab, Aytaroun, Ramyeh, Al-Tayri, Beit Lif, and Maroun Al-Ras, Arnoun, Shebaa, and Tayr Harfa.
