President of the Republic Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received today, Sunday, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani. During the meeting, according to a presidential statement, the general conditions in the country and its political, security and economic developments were discussed, where the importance of unifying the national ranks and joint work was emphasized in order to protect and enhance security and stability, and to raise the standard of living and services for citizens and meet their aspirations. The importance of supporting government measures in implementing its ministerial program was also emphasized, especially those related to citizens' requirements, improving economic conditions, combating administrative and financial corruption, and enhancing investment and the private sector and its repercussions on construction and reconstruction. The President of the Republic and the Prime Minister stressed the importance of resolving the constitutional entitlements related to the necessity of electin g a Speaker of the House of Representatives, to activate and enhance the role of Parliament in its oversight and legislative aspects and its integration with the executive authority in this regard.
