The Executive Unit for the Management of Project Financing and Agricultural Initiatives in Dhamar province on Thursday is overseeing the maintenance and rehabilitation of rainwater harvesting tanks and barriers in Maghrib Ans district, enhancing irrigation for local agriculture. Director of the Executive Unit in Dhamar Dr. Adel Omar inspected various rainwater harvesting projects being rehabilitated by community initiatives with the unit's support. Emphasizing adherence to technical specifications set by specialized engineers, Dr. Omar noted that the current phase includes 20 projects, which are 50% complete, with plans for an additional 32 projects in the coming months. Secretary-General of Maghrib Ans district Abdulwali al-Afari commended the Executive Unit's efforts to boost community-led agricultural initiatives, highlighting the importance of these projects for winter crop irrigation.
