Doha: September 07 - Al Duhail beat Al Ahli 2-0 and Al Rayyan secured a 3-0 win against Al Arabi, while Qatar SC held Al Shahania to a 3-3 draw in the second round (Group A) of the 2024-2025 season QSL Cup on Saturday. This was Al Duhails second successive win of the tournament, with their Under-21 player Rashid Al Abdulla (59th minute) and Luis Alberto (64th minute) scoring the goals. This was Al Ahlis second straight defeat in the tournament. They had lost 0-1 to Al Arabi in the opening round, where Al Duhail defeated Qatar SC 2-1. Al Rayyan secured a 3-0 win against Al Arabi at the Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium of Qatar Sports Club on Saturday. Ahmed Al Rawi netted a brace in the (24th and 43rd minutes) before Gabriel Pereira added the third in the 52nd minute to give The Lions the maximum six points from the two matches played so far, while Al Arabi could not add to the three points obtained in the first round. A last-gasp goal saw Qatar SC hold Al Shahania 3-3 in their exciting second-round match in Grou p A at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium of Al Duhail club on Saturday. While Qatar SC went up the lead early in the game, Al Shahania hit back with their three goals in the opening half. Qatar SC then rallied to level scores with the final goal coming in the dying moments of stoppage time. While Andreas Van Beek (24th minute), and Petrus Amersfoort (41st minute and 45+2 minute) scored for Al Shahania, the goals for Qatar SC came from Carlos Vinicius Jesus Carlinhos (16th minute and 90+8 mnute-penalty) and Ahmed Abdelqader (87th minute).
