Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 4.19 points, or 0.04%, at the beginning of trading on Monday, reaching 9.703 points, compared to yesterday's closing. QSE general index was weighed down by a decline in six sectors: Transportation by 0.53%; Insurance by 0.24%; Real Estate by 0.15%; Telecoms by 0.11%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.10%; and Industrials by 0.04%. However, the performance was positive for Banks and Financial Services by 0.05%. By 10:00 am, 52.317 million shares were traded in 3,138 transactions valued QR 100.901 million.
