Doha: Qatar News Agency launched a new training course titled 'Photography and Interview Skills'. This course is part of a series of training initiatives aimed at developing the skills of national media personnel and enhancing their efficiency in specialized media and photography fields. The five-day course, where a group of employees of QNA and a number of members of the relevant government sectors in Qatar are participating, aims to enhance the participants' capabilities in professional photography, conducting radio and television interviews, in addition to dealing with the press. The course covers several topics, most notably: sound concentration and delivery skills, as well as the basics of dealing with the media, with practical applications on radio and television interviews under the supervision of the course instructor. Participants will also present graduation projects related to developing photography and visual storytelling techniques, which will be discussed at the end of the course. It also inc ludes aspects of practical training on photography, with a focus on changing roles and general protocols for media interviews. Participants will be trained to apply the acquired skills in different contexts of media production. The course concludes with graduation projects in which media materials related to photography and interviews are prepared, where participants present their ideas and work to develop and discuss them on the last day of the course. In March 2023, QNA inaugurated the 'QNA Training Halls' at its headquarters, in line with its vision to develop media personnel through specialized quality training programs to contribute to the media scene with qualified young Qatari cadres capable of keeping pace with the changes and developments in this crucial field.
