Doha: Given the role of economic empowerment and youth employment in achieving sustainable development and poverty eradication, Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation in the Republic of Yemen sign an MOU to facilitate the ongoing projects of Silatech in Yemen. The "MUSTAQBALAK" and "Support to Youth Entrepreneurship and Financial Inclusion" (SYEFI II) projects are initiatives dedicated to enhancing the economic opportunities and financial inclusion for over 98,385 young Yemenis, ensuring their access to necessary resources for sustainable employment through entrepreneurship. This MOU exemplifies a shared vision to empower the youth of Yemen by investing in their potential through tailored economic programs to their needs. The signing ceremony which took place in Doha was graced by QFFD Acting Director General, Sultan bin Ahmed Al Aseeri and HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Yemen Shaya Mohsin Zindani. Silatech's initiatives in Yemen have been transformative for thousands of young people across the country. By focusing on financial inclusion and entrepreneurial support, these projects have empowered young Yemenis to create and sustain their own businesses, which in turn fosters economic stability and community development. For instance, through projects like "MUSTAQBALAK" and "SYEFI II," Silatech has not only provided critical funding and resources but also tailored training and mentorship to ensure long-term success. These efforts have proven crucial in regions where economic opportunities are scarce, helping to reduce poverty and promote self-reliance among the youth, thereby contributing to the broader goal of sustainable development in Yemen. This agreement marks a significant step towards QFFD's long-term goals of fostering economic growth and reducing poverty, by providing a robust framework for ongoing and future collaborations in Yemen and beyond.
