Doha: Al-Gharafa Club SC announced Monday that it has signed Argentine defender Matias Nani for one season on loan from Al Shamal SC. The club said in a statement on its official website that Nani, 26, has joined its ranks on loan, and is looking forward to contributing to achieving championships. Al Gharafa SC occupies the fifth place in the Qatari League (Ooredoo Stars League) this season with (4) points, and is preparing to play important matches in the first edition of the AFC Champions League for the elite for the new season 2024-2025, where it will host Pakhtakor of Uzbekistan, Al Ain and Al Wasl of the UAE, and Al Nasr of Saudi Arabia. Al Gharafa will meet Persepolis and Esteghlal of Iran, and Al Hilal and Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia outside its stadium. Source: Qatar News Agency
