Doha: The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli occupation forces' ongoing targeting of displaced persons' tents in Rafah, the Gaza Strip, considering these actions a blatant challenge to international laws and norms and a subversion of the negotiation process. In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to fulfill its legal and ethical responsibilities by compelling Israel to implement international legitimacy decisions, particularly the International Court of Justice's decision calling for an end to military attacks on Rafah to prevent the perpetration of genocide in the city, ensure full protection for civilians, and stop the occupation forces from executing plans aimed at forcibly displacing residents from the city, which has become a last refuge for hundreds of thousands of displaced persons within Gaza. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's steadfast position on the just Pal estinian cause, the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
