The State of Qatar participated in the Preparatory Meeting of the Economic and Social Council for the 33rd Arab Summit at the Ministerial level, which was held in the Bahraini capital of Manama. Deputy Undersecretary for Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Saud bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, chaired the State of Qatar's delegation to the meeting. A number of Their Excellencies ministers from the Council countries and the Arab League member states took part in the meeting, which discussed many important topics attached to this session, in addition to exchanging opinions and viewpoints regarding what was presented on the Council's agenda. The meeting also touched on several topics, including the Arab League Secretary-General's report on joint Arab economic and social development, the progress made in establishing the Arab Free Trade Area, linking social development institutions and banks, and Arab cooperation in the field of financial technology, innovation and digital transformation.
