Doha: Qatar Museums (QM) has unveiled displays at Place Vendome in Lusail as part of Art for Stories a new initiative to engage the public with QM's diverse collection and the stories that exist within it. On view from the Museum of Islamic Art's collection are some of its most prized artefacts, including a gem-set enamelled gold falcon, steel war mask, and astrolabe. On each display plinth is a prompt, asking visitors to reflect on the piece and inviting them to scan a QR code to learn more. Shaika Al Nassr, the Director of the Museum of Islamic Art said "Art of Stories is an excellent way to generate more awareness around our magnificent collection and share it with the wider public outside of the museum's walls. We are proud to be partnering with Place Vendome in this exciting new initiative, which will undoubtedly inspire everyone to come and explore what we have on offer." Source: Qatar News Agency
