Doha: The Qatar International Open Padel Championship for women and men (RISE), which was organized by the Qatar Padel Federation on its courts over the course of a week concluded. The duo, consisting of Argentine Julian Lagamoire and Egyptian Hossam Youssef, won the title after their victory in the final match over the team consisting of Italian Marco Cassata and Argentine Dylan Demawan Coelho 6-2, 6-4. In the women's competition, the Dutch team consisting of Marsala Quek and Rosala van der Hoek won the title in this category after defeating the Spanish duo of Claudia Mazanceras Otton and Argentine Jacqueline Soto in the final match, two sets to one, 4-6, 6-4, 6. 4. The ceremony of crowning the male and female winners was supervised by Tariq Zainal, Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation. Zainal expressed his happiness at the success of the tournament and congratulated the winners. He said that the Federation seeks, by organizing this tournament to provide Qatari pl ayers with the opportunity to participate in this competition, gain more experience, and improve their international ranking. He stressed that the Federation will continue to host a number of international padel tournaments that will help the national teams achieve the desired benefit. Source: Qatar News Agency
