Doha: The State of Qatar chaired the 41st meeting of the Directors-General of Traffic in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries that was held in Doha today. Chaired by Director-General of Traffic Maj. Gen. Abdulaziz bin Jassim Al-Thani, the meeting discussed a number of topics related to strengthening joint GCC security cooperation in the traffic field, in addition to a number of topics on the agenda. On the sidelines of the meeting, the participating delegations visited the accompanying exhibition held by the General Directorate of Traffic which includes state-of-the-art screens displaying the Directorate's efforts to curb traffic violations and accidents. It also showcased models of traffic plates with the logos of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Asian Cup, and Expo 2023 Doha, in addition to a drone, modern radars, and many educational and awareness brochures.
