Qatar Central Bank announced a 55 basis point cut to its benchmark interest rate on Wednesday. A QCB post on X said the move came following an assessment of the State of Qatar's current monetary policy, based on the Monetary Policy Committee decision on the monetary policy tools. The QCB's interest rates as of Thursday, Sep. 19, 2024 will run as follows: 5.20 percent for QCB Deposit Rate (QCBDR), 5.70 percent for QCB Lending Rate (QCBLR) and 5.45 percent for Repo Rate.
