The Qatar Basketball Federation has participated in a workshop organized by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Regional Committee in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on the sidelines of the Asian Youth Championship. The workshop addressed topics related to match management and tournament organization in various Asian countries, and also discussed the qualifiers for the 2025 Asian Cup, which will be held in the Saudi city of Jeddah from Aug. 5 to 17, 2025. Mohammed Saad Al Mughaisib, President of the Qatar Basketball Federation, confirmed in a statement that the Qatari Federation benefited from the workshop, noting that the International Federation (FIBA) provided precise details about the organizational requirements that host countries must adhere to ensure that the qualifiers matches proceed ideally. Al Mughaisib praised the International Federation's keenness to organize tournaments and matches with the highest quality standards, stressing that this workshop provided the Qatari Federation with a dditional experience in the organizational field, which will positively reflect on Doha's hosting of the upcoming qualifiers and tournaments. The Qatar Basketball Federations participation in the workshop comes within the framework of its role as an official partner in the International Basketball Federations (FIBA) programmes, as the Federation continues its efforts to develop its cadres and increase their efficiency through continuous participation in such events.
