The Public Prosecution in Sa'ada Province destroyed seven tons and 708 kilograms of narcotic hashish resin. The governor's chief prosecutor, Judge Ibrahim Jahez, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that these materials were seized during the past four months, in 271 operations. The Chief Prosecutor directed the monitoring and arrest of the elements involved in these crimes at the local and foreign levels, given the great danger that drugs pose to individuals and communities. He stressed the prosecution's keenness to bring those accused of crimes of drug use, possession and trafficking to trial and to demand that deterrent penalties be applied against them in accordance with Sharia law. Judge Jahez drew attention and follow-up of the Attorney General to all cases and everything that would achieve justice and maintain security and stability. Source: Yemen News Agency
