The Public Prosecution in Hajjah province released 394 prisoners on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. The head of Hajjah Appeals Prosecution, Judge Abdullah Al-Ahmar, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the release procedures that began at the beginning of last Rajab were based on the Public Prosecutor's directives to the heads of the prosecution to inspect prisons, inspect the conditions of prisoners, and speed up the disposition of cases. He pointed out that implementing these directives required field visits by the Chief Prosecutor and prosecutors to all prisons and detention centers in the province and district centers, interviewing prisoners, and granting those who deserve conditional release from those who have served three-quarters of their sentence with imprisonment, and guarantees in cases pending investigation.
