The Public Security Directorate (PSD) said Tuesday security forces have been redeployed with additional forces brought in at some points of duty as part of the security plan for the parliamentary elections. Security forces are continuing field surveillance and receiving complaints from the public, reiterating that those using firearms or shooting in the air during the electoral process will be arrested, it said in a statement. It also said it stiffened penalties against vehicles that are in violation of traffic regulations or hindering movement, calling on people to call 911 for any such incidents.
