Amman: Director of Correctional and Rehabilitation Centers, Brig. Falah Majali, announced 27 inmates successfully passed Tawjihi (the general secondary education certificate examination). Majali said the correctional centers worked, in coordination with the Ministry of Education, to prepare the "appropriate" atmosphere within 4 schools, which were opened for this purpose inside prisons. Mjali also added that the Ministry of Education appointed a liaison officer to follow up on inmates' affairs in correctional centers inside 15 examination halls. Majali said the reform policies carried out by Public Security Directorate (PSD), especially educational and rehabilitation programs, lead to "distinguished" successes annually. In this context, he added that inmates have "full" opportunities to resume normal life paths, adding that imprisonment is "no longer an obstacle to achieve success, but has become a reason for many to build a better future." Majali stated that the PSD Director, Maj. Gen. Dr. Obaidallah Ma aitah, gave the opportunity to families of successful inmates to contact them by phone and through private visits.
