HAJJAH - SABA : Hajjah branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs handed over a project to build walls to protect agricultural lands from erosion in the upper district of Shars in the province. The project, implemented by the Social Solidarity Foundation, includes the construction of walls and gabions of large rocks around agricultural lands with a length of 350 meters to protect more than 3 hectares of land famous for coffee cultivation from erosion, at a cost of 67,839 dollars, funded by the German Cooperation , Economic Fund and Vision of Hope. The importance of the project lies in protecting the fertile agricultural lands in Wadi Sharis, which is considered one of the largest fertile agricultural valleys in the directorate, in addition to being one of the valleys characterized by the cultivation of various agricultural crops, especially coffee, large areas of which have been washed away in recent years as a result of heavy rains.
