Prince Hashim Patronizes Closing Ceremony of Inaugural Wrestling Championship

Amman: His Royal Highness Prince Hashim bin Al Hussein presided over the closing ceremony of the first edition of the Prince Hashim bin Al Hussein Wrestling Championship, which was held at Princess Sumaya Hall in Al Hussein Youth City, organized by the Caucasian Club in collaboration with the Jordan Wrestling Federation. The championship featured 71 competitors across five categories: Buds, Cubs, Juniors, Youth, and Men, representing 13 clubs: Caucasian, Tolam, Abu Naseer, Hayy Al Ameer Hassan, Meydan, Al Nasr, Al Areen, Knights, Gladiator, Mat05, Iron Fist, and Combat, as well as the Federation Center. The Mat 05 club clinched the overall first-place trophy, with the Tulam club securing second place, and the Iron Fist club taking third. Victors in their respective weight classes and age groups included Omar Tayseer, Mohammed Musleh, Louay Jaloos, Omar Saratawi, Murtada Mohammed Hadi, Mohammed Rayyan, Pasha Shamel Taj Addin, Mohammed Saratawi, Imran Ashab, Abdulrahman Marafi, Aslan Shono, Hudhayfah Abu Bak r, Ward Asha, Suhaib Marafi, Sand Baytar, Zaid Saratawi, Abdullah Badarin, Abdullah Makoun, Jassim Masry, Mahdi Awad, Khaled Najjar, Ahmed Zghoul, Moaz Ejayev, and Abdul Karim Abu Duaij. Mohammed Awamleh, President of the Jordan Wrestling Federation, highlighted the championship's success, attributing it to the keen interest and follow-up of Prince Hashim. Awamleh noted that this attention provided a significant boost to the athletes, motivating them to deliver their best performances. Samir Bino, President of the Caucasian Club, lauded the Jordan Wrestling Federation for its effective management and notable achievements at regional and international levels. He congratulated the Federation for recently winning an award for the best federations in terms of achievement and development in Asia. Bino also expressed deep appreciation for Prince Hashim's sponsorship, emphasizing that the championship's name and His Highness's involvement reflect a strong commitment to the sport. "Our beginnings may be modest wi th limited capabilities, but our ambitions are great, and our determination is strong. Being under the umbrella of the Jordan Wrestling Federation helps us implement our vision efficiently," Bino stated. Founded in Sweileh in 1932, the Caucasian Club was inaugurated under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah I.
