Prime Minister pays tribute to Zakat General Authority’s Humanitarian Tender vigil

Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor praised on Saturday the Humanitarian Tender Vigil of the General Authority of Zakat and its care and support to target groups, particularly the poor, the families of martyrs and the injured.

During his meeting today, the Prime Minister, Chairman of the General Authority of Zakat Shamsan Abu Nashtan, noted the positive impact of the Authority's activity during the previous period and its harnessing of Zakat resources in its legitimate banks.

The meeting, which was attended by Prime Minister Taha al-Sofyani's Office, discussed the level of achievement in the current year's plan of the Authority and the scale of its humanitarian interventions at the level of the Capital Secretariat, including economic empowerment projects for poor families, as well as the general features of next year's plan of action 1445 AH.

The Prime Minister heard an explanation from Abu Nashtan about the conduct of the general activity of the Authority and its branches in the Capital Secretariat and Governorates and the level of its implementation of its quarterly and half-yearly projects and programmes.

Abu Nashtan pointed out that the Authority relies on the implementation of its projects in support of the target social groups through field study. Stressing the concern for harnessing cosmetic resources in its legitimate banks.
