Prime Minister of Lebanon’s Caretaker Government Affirms Solution Lies in Electing President of Republic

The Prime Minister of Lebanon's Caretaker Government, Najib Mikati, emphasized that the solution in Lebanon lies in electing the President of the Republic, and completion of the constitutional institutions. Mikati condemned the Israeli aggression on south Lebanon which resulted in casualties, stressing that such an aggression will never dissuade the people of south Lebanon from sticking to their lands, according to the Lebanese governments information office on Tuesday. The Prime Minister of Lebanon's Caretaker Government talked about presenting a clear and limited action plan to settle the issue of the Syrian refugees in Lebanon, highlighting that such a plan was adopted by the government and supported by the Parliament. He noted the request submitted by Lebanon to initiate an early recovery plan in Syria, separate the issue of Syrian displaced people from political considerations and find safe zones in Syria for their return.
