RAMALLAH: Presidential Advisor for Diplomatic Affairs, Magdi Al-Khalidi, received today German Minister of State for Economic Cooperation and Development, Niels Annen. During a meeting in Ramallah, al-Khalidi briefed the German Minister on Palestine's positions calling for stopping the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, immediately introducing aid into the entire Gaza Strip, the complete Israeli withdrawal from the Strip, preventing displacement and accelerating the implementation of a political solution based on international legitimacy resolutions to end the occupation and embody the establishment of a state of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital. The President's Advisor appreciated the positions of Federal Germany in support of implementing the two-state solution in line with international legitimacy resolutions, its emphasis on the unity of the Palestinian territories and its refusal to reoccupy the Gaza Strip or reduce its territory. He also praised Germany for rejecting the Israeli aggression against Rafah, and its position denouncing colonial settlements, hailing the humanitarian aid and economic support Germany provides to UNRWA, as well as its firm positions on a ceasefire, the introduction of humanitarian aid and the prevention of displacement, calling on the countries of the world that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to do so. Al-Khalidi stressed the keenness of the State of Palestine to strengthen the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries and the two friendly peoples.
