RAMALLAH: The President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas received on Monday the President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embaló at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah. The two Presidents held a bilateral discussion session, which touched on with the latest developments in the situation in the Palestinian territories and the historical relations that bind the two countries. The President briefed the President of Guinea-Bissau on the developments of the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, stressing the necessity of immediately stopping the war of genocide being waged against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the crimes of genocide, and accelerating the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, as well as stopping the attacks of the occupation forces and terrorist settlers in the West Bank, stressing the need to release Palestinian clearance fund held by the Israeli government. President Abb as renewed the State of Palestine's categorical rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip or the West Bank, including Jerusalem, stressing that there is no security or military solution for the Gaza Strip, and that Gaza is an integral part of the Palestinian state, adding that it is not possible to accept or deal with the occupation authorities' plans of separating the Gaza Strip from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, reoccupying it, or cutting off any part of it. The President stressed that security and peace are achieved by ending the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital, so that all the peoples of the region can live in security, peace and good neighborliness. President Abbas thanked President Embaló for Guinea-Bissau's positions in international forums in support of the Palestinian people and their just cause, stressing his keenness to work to develop and strengthen historical bilateral relations, based on cooperation. Th e President also appreciated the positions of the African Union and the African countries that have always stood by truth, justice, freedom, and achieving a just peace based on international legitimacy resolutions and international law to end the occupation and embody the hopes and aspirations of the Palestinian people for freedom and independence, leading to peace and stability in the Middle East region.
