RAMALLAH: The President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas received on today the Arab ambassadors accredited to Turkey at his residence in Ankara. The President briefed the ambassadors on the latest developments related to the Palestinian issue, especially the developments in the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip, and on efforts made to immediately stop the genocidal war committed against the Palestinian people. President Abbas arrived in Turkey yesterday on an official visit that will last for three days. The President was received at the airport by several Turkish officials, Arab ambassadors accredited to Turkey, and the staff of the Embassy of the State of Palestine. President Abbas is scheduled to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish leadership during his official visit. The President is accompanied by the Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Hussein al-Sheikh, Advis or to the President for Diplomatic Affairs, Majdi Al-Khalidi, the President's son, Yasser Abbas and the Palestinian Ambassador to Turkey, Faed Mustafa.
