CAIRO: President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas met with Egyptian Presiden Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, at the Federal Palace in Cairo. The President briefed his Egyptian counterpart on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territory, especially in the Gaza Strip, stressing the necessity of working with all parties to ensure an end to the Israeli aggression against Palestinian people everywhere, specifically in the Gaza Strip, stressing the State of Palestine's categorical rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip or from the West Bank or Jerusalem. The President stressed that the only solution to all the escalation taking place in the region is the political solution by ending the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine, with Jerusalem as its capital. President Abbas congratulated his counterpart, President Sisi, on his victory in the presidential elections for a new term, and on the success of the democratic process, praising the pioneering role pl ayed by Egypt in serving the Palestinian cause. The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Liberation Organization, Hussein Al-Sheikh, the head of the General Intelligence Service, Major General Majid Faraj, the President's Advisor for Diplomatic Affairs, Majdi Al-Khalidi, and the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Egypt, Diab Al-Louh.
