RAMALLAH: President Mahmoud Abbas congratulated on Monday Tunisian President Kais Saied on his re-election for a new presidential term. In a cable of congratulations, President Abbas said: 'We take this opportunity to express our pride at the long-established historical relations between our two countries,' while also praising Tunisia's support to the just cause of the Palestinian people and their right to freedom and independence and the embodiment of their independent state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
