Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) called on the United Nations -once again- to open an independent international investigation into the systematic israeli crimes committed against Palestinians detainees. PPS affirmed in a statement on Monday that the majority of detainees who were recently released from israeli occupation prisons suffer from health problems, pointing out that these are systematic medical crimes committed by the occupation over many decades. These crimes escalated after Oct 7, 2023, as a result of a number of retaliatory measures, PPS added, explaining that the most prominent of these crimes is the crime of torture, the starvation policy, and systematic medical crimes that kill Palestinians. PPS warned that the passage of a long period of time for detainees inside the occupation's prisons - while the current retaliatory measures continue at their current pace, will lead to a worsening of the health conditions of sick prisoners, and cause diseases even for healthy detainees.
