Police: Explosives Found in Amman House, Safely Detonated

The Public Security Department announced on Thursday that security forces are investigating an incident involving explosive materials in the southern Marka region. Preliminary investigations suggest that a group of individuals stored quantities of explosive materials in a residence in southern Marka, southeast of Amman, according to the department. Explosive ordnance disposal experts from the Royal Engineering Corps, in collaboration with security services, safely detonated the materials on-site after taking all necessary precautions, including isolating and evacuating the area. The department has requested that the public steer clear of the area to allow security personnel to carry out their duties without interference.
