A force from the 13th Brigade within the Anbar Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces thwarted, on Wednesday, a drug smuggling operation within the area of responsibility west of Anbar. The commander of the Anbar Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Qasim Muslih, said in a statement that "the operation was carried out based on accurate intelligence information, as the force succeeded in seizing 10 kg of narcotic substances and transferring them to the competent authorities." Muslih added that "the Popular Mobilization Forces continue to harness their capabilities to confront such attempts that target the security and stability of the region."
