PM Shtayyeh briefs Greek Consul-General on ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinian people

RAMALLAH: Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh met today with the Greek Consul General to Palestine Dimitris Angelopoulo in Ramallah, where he briefed him on the latest political developments, including the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem. Shtayyeh, during a meeting at his office in Ramallah, briefed the Greek official on efforts made to stop the aggression against Gaza, bring in relief and medical aid and restore electricity and water there. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of having international pressure to open all crossings with the Gaza Strip to bring in more aid and provide treatment to the wounded, stressing the complete rejection of the Cyprus-proposed sea corridor to Gaza. He reiterated the importance of the European Union's role of working toward coming up with a peace initiative, creating a political horizon to end the occupation and finding a just solution to the Palestinian cause that includes all the Palestinian territories in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, most importantly Jerusalem, and to advance toward the mutual recognition of the State of Palestine and its full membership in the United Nations.
