RAMALLAH: Prime Minister, Mohammad Mustafa, met today with the UN Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza, Sigrid Kaag, at his office in Ramallah, where they discussed enhancing humanitarian and relief efforts in Gaza. They emphasized the need to increase the delivery of aid and ensure its distribution throughout the Strip. Mustafa affirmed that ongoing efforts and contacts have been made since day one to stop the genocide committed against the Palestinian people in Gaza, and coordinate with all international parties, especially the United Nations, to provide all necessary emergency humanitarian assistance. He stressed that Gaza is an integral part of the Palestinian state, adding that since its establishment, the Palestinian Authority has been responsible for providing services to the people in the Strip, especially health, education and infrastructure among others. For her part, Kaag affirmed continued coordination, joint efforts and support for the Palestinian government's efforts t o meet the urgent humanitarian and relief needs in Gaza.
